Palm Wound Care
Conditions

Post-surgical wound care so you can recover at home.

Getting discharged with a draining incision is disorienting. We step in during the first week after surgery — check the incision, manage drainage, catch early dehiscence — so you don't spend recovery worrying about the wound.

Our approach

What home-based post-surgical wound care looks like in practice.

Early dehiscence catch

Small separations become big ones fast. We spot them in the first visit and adjust before they open further.

Drain and suture management

JP drain output tracking, suture and staple removal, steri-strip transitions — all at home on your schedule.

Surgical-site infection surveillance

Temperature, redness, streaking, purulent drainage — we know what to look for and when to call your surgeon.

Coordination back to the surgical team

Your surgeon gets a clean visit summary. If something needs their attention, they hear about it the same day.

You probably shouldn't wait.

FAQ

Questions about post-surgical wound care

How soon after surgery should you start?

Often the day after discharge — especially if the incision is already draining or complex. Call us from the hospital if you can; we can usually start within 48 hours.

Do you do suture and staple removal?

Yes — routinely. We coordinate the timing with your surgical team and document it in a note back to them.

My surgeon is in Miami but I live in Broward — does that matter?

Not for us. We coordinate back to whichever surgical team did the case. Patients across Southeast Florida hire us for exactly this reason.
